Black Girl Finance Event Case Study
According to Turn2Us, the Black community is more likely to experience financial hardships during a crisis than their White counterparts. Additionally, the mental health foundation found that depression and anxiety in Black communities are higher than other ethnic groups within the UK.
This event was held to tackle that inequality, and Money Heave contributed by delivering an empowerment talk.
The project aims to create a supportive community where experts can share insights, tools, and strategies to navigate the complexities of personal finance. This inspires women to not only survive but truly thrive in their financial journeys.
Objectives:
- Empowerment Through Education: Provide accessible financial education tailored to the unique experiences of Black women.
- Community Building: Foster a supportive online community where women can share their stories, challenges, and successes.
- Expert Insights: Feature contributions from Black women financial experts who can provide guidance on a range of financial topics.
- Practical Tools and Resources: Equip users with actionable tools, including budgeting templates, investment guides, and debt management strategies.
