This case study will explore the impact that MoneyHeave had on the Grocery Girls community. We will look at how MoneyHeave was able to engage and educate members of the community on money management and financial resilience, as well as the positive response to the workshop.
Background
The Grocery Girls is a local non-profit organisation (Part of Co-op Group) dedicated to empowering women in their communities through education and support. In light of the cost of living crisis, they wanted to provide members with practical knowledge and advice on managing their finances more effectively. To do this, they hosted a lunch and learn event led by Roneish – an experienced finance coach from MoneyHeave.
Details of the Event
The Lunch and learn session was held virtually and featured a variety of topics, including budgeting, savings options, goal setting, and building your credit score. Roneish provided clear and helpful insights on each topic – making it easy for members to understand and apply tips to their own financial situations. Roneish also took time to answer any questions that members had about money management.
Impact of the workshop
The MoneyHeave Lunch and Learn workshop was incredibly successful in helping members become more financially resilient. Attendees reported feeling empowered by the advice – with many saying they now have a better understanding of how to create a plan tailored to their individual needs. Additionally, members said they felt supported in their efforts to save money and make smarter financial decisions
Conclusion
The MoneyHeave Lunch and Learn Workshop had a positive impact on the Grocery Girls community, providing members with practical advice and resources to help them become more financially resilient.

CAN WE HELP YOUR ORGANISATION?
At MoneyHeave, we understand that finance is not always the easiest topic to discuss but we strongly encourage organisations to challenge this stigma through education and open dialogue surrounding personal finance. By doing so institutions can create an environment where employees feel safe in discussing their finances openly without fear of judgement or discrimination while gaining knowledge around money management which will benefit them both personally & professionally.
